Website Access

When you visit this website, the hosting provider may process technical access data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, referrer, date, time, and basic error logs. This is used to deliver the website, keep it secure, and diagnose technical problems.

The legal basis is legitimate interest in operating a secure and functional website.

Analytics and Tracking

This website does not currently use advertising tracking. If privacy-friendly analytics are added later, this policy will be updated to describe what is collected and how to opt out where required.

Contact by Email

If you contact me by email, I process the information you send so I can reply, provide support, discuss work, or handle product questions. This may include your name, email address, message content, and related correspondence.

Purchases

Digital product purchases may be handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy processes payment, tax, invoice, fraud prevention, and checkout data. I may receive customer, order, product, and license or purchase information needed for delivery, support, accounting, refunds, and product administration.

Payment card details are processed by the payment provider and are not stored by me.

Vigil

Vigil is intended to work with local files and local workspaces. The current product direction is that Vigil does not collect telemetry, usage analytics, source code, or workspace contents for me.

If a future build adds optional online functionality, this policy will be updated before that functionality is used.

Embedded Videos

The Vigil page includes YouTube videos using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed domain. When a video is loaded, YouTube or Google may process technical data, such as your IP address and interaction with the player, under their own responsibility.

Retention

Support and contact emails are kept as long as needed for the conversation and reasonable follow-up. Purchase and accounting records are kept for the legally required retention periods. Technical logs are retained only as long as needed for security, debugging, and hosting operations.

Processors and Recipients

Depending on the final setup, personal data may be processed by the website host, email provider, Lemon Squeezy, and other tools needed to deliver the website or product. These services process data only for the purposes described here or for their own legal obligations where they act as Merchant of Record.

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to processing of your personal data. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
