Vigil Terms

Simple terms for buying and using Vigil.

Last updated: 15 June 2026

Product

Vigil is downloadable desktop software made by Michael Kutowski for browsing Odin workspaces, documentation, symbols, source structure, and related project information.

Purchase Model

Vigil is planned as a simple one-time purchase. The initial Vigil 1.x price is EUR 10. A future major version, such as Vigil 2.x, may be sold as a separate product or paid upgrade.

There is no subscription planned for the current product model.

Use

After purchase, you may download and use the purchased version of Vigil on your own devices. The current plan is a low-friction model without heavy activation or account requirements.

You may make reasonable personal backup copies. You may not resell Vigil, redistribute paid builds as your own product, remove attribution, or use the product name in a misleading way.

Updates

A Vigil 1.x purchase includes access to updates in the Vigil 1.x line while that line is maintained. Major new versions may be priced separately.

Free and Promotional Copies

I may provide free copies to testers, reviewers, creators, collaborators, friends, or other people who can help evaluate or promote the product.

Payments and Refunds

Checkout, tax, invoices, and payment processing may be handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. Refunds are handled according to the checkout provider process and applicable law.

No Warranty

Vigil is provided as-is. I try to build useful, reliable software, but I do not guarantee that it is error-free, uninterrupted, suitable for every workflow, or compatible with every workspace or operating system configuration.

Changes

The product, purchase flow, pricing, and these terms may be updated over time. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
